As insurance rates for tax-funded entities continue to rise, budgets for city services are adversely impacted.

SLAIT acts as an insurance company for Liability & Workers Compensation and Employee Benefits to manage these rising costs.  This member-funded pool provides coverage exclusively to professionally managed cities in the St Louis area. 

Unlike traditional insurance providers, an insurance pool allows members to secure a portion of the remaining investment income after the trust has paid claims.  Funds are distributed to the community of members as approved by the Board of Trustees.
